Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ø Enter and process fabrication orders from project drawings or customer take-offs.
Ø Written and verbal communications with inter-departmental contacts, sales representatives, and outside customers.
Ø Prepare manufacturing job documentation.
Ø Prepare shop and detail drawings and documents utilizing AutoCAD and other company software, as required.
Ø Other technical duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager
Desired characteristics [will vary by specific job]:
Ø Good technical math skills
Ø Basic to excellent problem solving skills
Ø Ability to read & interpret architectural drawings and /or job specifications
Ø Knowledge of window & door construction
Ø Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Ø Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ø Time management / organizational skills
Ø Self motivated
Ø Computer skills including Microsoft Office
Ø CAD
Ø Project management skills
Ø Excellent leadership skills

This position will prepare accurate quotes from customer provided take-offs, architectural drawings and specifications. Successful applicant must be able to meet deadlines and stay focused on multiple jobs in a fast pace work environment, have daily communication with co-workers and reps to resolve issues, ensure changes are documented and proper signatures are obtained, request and ensure job information is received and entered into the system for approved purchase orders
Requirements:
- Good math aptitude
- Detailed orientated
- Computer literate in a windows based environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, need to work on and track multiple jobs in a fast paced work environment
- Be able to effectively work with both internal and external contacts
- Able to work independently as well as being a team player
- Positive attitude
· Candidates must be available for a full-time position, (40 hours weekly) Monday through Friday, with possible OT including weekends.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of CAD a plus
- The ability to read architectural drawings a plus
- Window or construction experience a plus
