Winco’s New Rapid Receptor System
Window installation or replacement can be a time-consuming, labor-intensive job that requires a large area of workspace. In response, Winco Window Company has redesigned its window receptor system to be more jobsite friendly. The new system streamlines window installation and helps ease the burden on installers to find space, time, and labor to put together the window receptor system on site before installation.
“With the new receptor system, we are dramatically improving our productivity in the field. This directly correlates to us being more competitive in our market, be it reducing field errors during field fabrication, reducing time in assembly, or the organization of onsite materials (getting the right part to the right place at the right time). We’re performing more work in less time. And, since our infrastructure projects are funded with public dollars, these savings flow through the project to taxpayers as well.”- Dante Birch, Project Manager at Kapiloff’s Glass.
Key advantages of Winco’s new, factory fabricated window receptor system include:
- Key advantages of Winco’s new, factory fabricated window receptor system include:
- Aligned strut thermal breaks result in improved thermal performance
- Most components are fabricated in the factory, minimizing on-site and labor time
- Minimizing field labor can potentially lower project costs
- Off-site assembly and knocked-down shipping require less workspace
- In-factory mitered corners ensure strength and superior seal
- Optional pre-drilled installation holes save time
- Built-in end caps reduce field labor and the amount of sealant needed
- Faster dry-in times
- Closes off large wall cavities without the need for deeper window frames
